New ... Bird paintings using the palette knife.
These pieces are done using mostly a palette knife with a bit of brush work for the eye and beak. This method helps me loosen up and concentrate on color and shape. The effect is abstract in ways that I cannot seem to get with a brush. Even though the feathers and foliage are not detailed you know they are there and allows the viewer to interpret what they see.
