Other areas of priority will be working in the studio and finally putting aside my fears and try Plein Air painting. I have already started painting some landscapes in the studio. I think once I get somewhat comfortable with landscapes I'll be ready to take the easel outdoors.
My health is another priority. I've already taken some measure there. I started getting out on my bike and riding around our state park at Presque Isle. I need to work on getting up and out the door in the morning when it is cooler. Motivation...need to work on that. Saying daily affirmations help so will work on the wording to get going in the morning. I started to take herbal supplements and they really do work. I have less pain from arthritis and seasonal allergies have been minimal. So in case you are wondering I take Turmeric, Elderberry and Echinacea. I am also going to be setting short and long term goals for my art career. First produce more work. I've been told to just show up and do the work. Inspiration will follow along with improvement. So even if I am not sure what to create next I will just start something. Even getting back to my sketchbooks. I will be setting my sights on acquiring one person shows and group shows with one or two people. My largest goal will be entering and getting accepted into the Birds in Art exhibit held each year at the Woodson Art Museum. Now that will be a lofty goal. There you have it no more excuses. We are entering my favorite time of year as Autumn approaches. I will be starting each day with positive affirmations, love, peace, joy and giving. Enjoy!
