This piece took me awhile to finish so I am happy to say it is done! It sure had its bumps in the road to completion but I'm glad I did not give up on it. My husband feels it is one of my best watercolors yet. He is a strong supporter of my work and I appreciate him so much for all his critiques and love.
I love photographing shore birds and watching them hunt for food. They have such character and charm scurrying around beaches and marsh lands. I am so fortunate to live along the Great Lakes near Presque Isle on Lake Erie and to be able to watch and photograph shore birds as they migrate through.
This piece will make its public debut at a fundraiser for our local arboretum at Frontier Park. So if you are nearby you still have time to purchase a ticket. Click here for more info on 'ArborEATem'
I also plan on creating more works with watercolor on paper mounted on boards. I will do a tutorial of how I mount paper when start a new piece. Until then enjoy your day.
