Autumn Iris - SOLD!
8 x 10 watercolor
I spent the Summer redesigning some of my garden beds which meant moving plants around, replanting and giving some away. But for my Iris plants I held onto as many as I could and spread them around my garden in the front and back garden area. I received these from my neighbor not long after I moved in and they always produced a second bloom for her and not for me till this year! Even though they did well in the shade area where I had them they needed more sun for that second bloom. So since I moved them to a more sunny location I was blessed and gifted with their second bloom.
A few weeks ago I rushed to finish this painting for a juried show. The closing time to enter was 4 o'clock and I put the finishing touches on it at 3 o'clock. Needless to say I did not have time to photograph it. It did get into the show so last Friday I had an opportunity to drive to the gallery to take some photos.
If you have ever read my old blog before I moved to this platform you will know that I have ranted on this before. I either do not have good time management skills or simply not enough time. Or maybe it is motivation, or simply to much on my plate and I get overwhelmed. Actually I am thinking what I really need is to change my attitude and outlook.
Have you ever heard that what you think is what you attract? Yes that is where I need to start. I need to tell myself I can do this and I have enough time. So I will begin with my attitude and thoughts. Everything I have ever read on success starts with your thoughts and attitude towards your goals.
